bibi & The 451 Project: A research, drafting, and publication app & the 451 Project AI/Search Engine platform (backend).

The bibi app is a multiplatfom app that runs on iPhones, iPads, Mac OS, Apple TV's and Car Play for researching, drafting and publishing papers and books. The 451 Project is the server side of project. 451 APIs can be utilized by many apps to retrieve information, recommendations and summarizations. The bibi app utilizes the 451 servers for all machine learning algorithms and search that are not on-device.

The 451 Engines provide contextual information based on how they are called. There is a citation network, and object and concept network, and a combinatorial full-text search index working in conjunction with some AI models - both on-device and in the cloud.

bibi use natural language machine learning along with a number of search indices to identify the context of the words being typed. We have the luxury of validating the engine's understanding by using a passive AI that allows the creator to confirm or reject a linkage.

Part of the bibi design experience is to work through use cases regarding how people can research, and learn, while in situations not currently considered learning environments - like cars, or living rooms, or an augmented reality, like the Vision Pro. We think of these environments as 'womb' environments and the goal is to fundamentally understand how people ask questions and learn in a Socratic way with a computer.

The 451 Project's publication system contains a 20 year guarantee that the information will be available to the public. How does this work? At the time of publication documents are published in an open format on on multiple large cloud service providers - S3 storage providers. At the time of publication a sufficient amount of money is put forward in a trust that should cover the cost of publication for twenty years with the possibility of lasting much longer than that.

Most blockchains use Proof of Work or Proof of Stake to ensure the integrity of their blockchain. This method has proven very trustworthy, but not perfect. Because of the huge amounts of money involved in the blockchain transactions the incentive to manipulate these systems is high. A 51% attack is an attack on a cryptocurrency blockchain by an entity or group that gains controls more than 50% of the nodes on a cryptographic network. If a party were to gain this much control of a network, it would have the power to alter the blockchain. The 451 Project uses a 'Green Blockchain' that uses a Proof by Redundant Existence; again using S3 systems provided by large cloud providers. Before a final commit occurs the blockchain needs to be update on 3 different cloud providers and cross-referencing occurs against all three. This Green Blockchain is has Read permissions that allow users to see whenever this blockchain has been modified making it fully transparent and auditable. This makes the blockchain very secure and very green.
